Creating Cooperation Chances
---Northern Illinois University visits International College
A Delegation led by the president of Northern Illinois University visited International College in the morning of March 20, 2017. The visiting group comprised Douglas D. Baker, the President, Christopher K.McCord, Dean of College of liberal Arts and Sciences and, Sim Chin Tissa, Director of International Student & Faculty Office, etc. Wang Jing, the dean of International College, met with the group in the company of Li Hang, deputy dean, and Dai Yuanhong, the head of the International Student Admission Office. Staff members of the 0ffice of International Cooperation and Exchanges and International College also attended the meeting.
In the welcoming address, Ms. Wang Jing briefly introduced Southwest University, International College and the history and status quo of the foreign student education of our university. She rounded off her speech with the sincere hope to carry out practical cooperation within the framework of the MOU signed by the two universities. Mr. Li Hang introduced the language and degree programs, international student summer camp, Sino-US cultural exchange programs and the successful cooperation projects between SWU and universities from the US.
Afterwards, the two sides discussed the cooperation in the fields of Sino-US cultural exchange programs, the internship of MTCSOL students, Chinese Teaching in US by Chinese teachers. Both sides believed that the cooperation prospects are so broad that we should work closely and carry out practical cooperation.
After the meeting, all the guest visited the Ziyun Building with the guide of our staff members.
